Improving Patient Medication Care and Revenue Growth in the First Four Months

Rapid time to impact in the first four months of partnership

In the Clearway Health and Sinai Chicago partnership, the time from contract signing to a fully implemented specialty pharmacy services program took just 100 days. This speed to getting specialty pharmacy services up and running quickly enabled patients to receive specialty medications and allowed the health system to deliver a much higher revenue with healthier margin than anticipated. This resulted in $1M month over month revenue growth for Sinai Chicago, signaling early strength in financial performance and allowing the health system to expand healthcare services for patients.

The project included moving quickly to gain access to the first Limited Distribution Drug that was previously inaccessible and submitting the first contract negotiations to a major PBM to improve access to medications. These early efforts helped to accelerate a gastroenterology initiative to support patients on Stelara, resulting in more than $200,000 in unforecasted revenue in just two months. The partners are also in the process of designing other clinical programs, including one for inflammatory disorders to ensure timely access to medications, improve adherence and deliver revenue growth in the first program year.
